Acceptable Use + Prohibited Transactions / Sanctions & Restricted Countries Policy — JabalPay

This policy explains what is and is not allowed when using JabalPay (the “Services”). It forms part of our Terms of Service (Consumer). If you violate this policy, we may refuse, block, suspend, or terminate access to the Services and take any action required by law.

1) The baseline rule
You may only use JabalPay for lawful purposes, and you must comply with:

all applicable laws and regulations (including AML/CTF and sanctions laws), and
-
JabalPay’s Terms and policies.
You are responsible for ensuring your use is legal in your jurisdiction and the recipient’s jurisdiction.
2) Sanctions, restricted countries, and restricted persons
A. No sanctions activity
You may not use the Services if you are, or are acting on behalf of, any person or entity that is:

sanctioned, blocked, or designated under applicable sanctions laws, or
-
owned or controlled by a sanctioned person/entity.
You may not use the Services to facilitate sanctions evasion or dealings with sanctioned persons/entities.
B. Restricted countries/jurisdictions
JabalPay may restrict or refuse transactions involving certain countries, regions, or corridors (a “Restricted Jurisdiction”), including where required by sanctions laws, AML/CTF rules, partner requirements, or risk controls.
The list of Restricted Jurisdictions may change at any time. If you are unsure whether a country/corridor is supported, contact [email protected] before attempting a transaction.
3) Prohibited uses (you must not do any of the following)
A. Financial crime, deception, and abuse

Money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, or any similar activity

Fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, or deceptive practices

Using false, misleading, stolen, or third-party identity documents
-
Attempting to bypass KYC, screening, or risk controls
-
Using the Services to conceal the source, destination, or ownership of funds
-
Extortion, ransomware, blackmail, or threats
B. Illegal goods, services, or conduct

Any activity that violates applicable law (local or international)

Facilitating criminal activity, including trafficking of any kind
-
Sale or purchase of stolen goods or stolen financial information
-
Any use that infringes intellectual property rights (e.g., counterfeit goods)
C. Weapons and violence-related activity
-
Transactions involving weapons, weapon parts, ammunition, explosives, or services intended to facilitate violence (where prohibited by law and/or our partners)
D. Sexual exploitation and harm
-
Child sexual abuse material or any exploitation of minors (strictly prohibited)

Human trafficking, sexual exploitation, or forced labor
E. High-risk or restricted categories (may be prohibited or restricted)
Depending on your jurisdiction, corridor, and partner rules, we may prohibit or restrict:

Gambling and betting services
-
Adult content services
-
Cannabis/THC and other controlled substances
-
Certain high-risk financial products, unlicensed money services, or unregistered investment schemes
-
“Get rich quick” schemes, pyramid/ponzi schemes, and other deceptive business models
If you operate a business and want to use JabalPay for any category that might be restricted, contact [email protected] before use.
4) Destination wallet and transaction accuracy (your responsibility)
You are solely responsible for ensuring the destination wallet address and all transaction details are correct.
Because transfers may be irreversible once executed (including conversion and delivery to a destination wallet), mistakes (including wrong wallet addresses or wrong network/chain selection) may result in permanent loss of funds.
JabalPay is not responsible for sender errors.
5) Monitoring, screening, and enforcement
To manage risk and comply with law, we may:

perform identity verification (KYC/KYB),
-
screen users and transactions against sanctions/watchlists,
-
monitor activity for suspicious behavior, and
-
request additional information (source of funds, purpose of payment, recipient details, etc.).
If we detect or suspect prohibited use or elevated risk, we may:
-
refuse to process a transaction,
-
restrict your account or limits,
-
suspend or terminate access, and/or
-
take any action required by law, including reporting where applicable.
6) No guidance or assistance for prohibited activity
We do not provide advice or assistance on how to avoid compliance checks, evade sanctions, or structure transactions to hide activity.
7) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and publish the revised policy on our website.
